About the role
We're looking for a Content Curator to shape the voice and narrative of We Dey Outside across our digital platforms.
You'll be responsible for discovering stories, attending events and experiences, creating engaging social content, and keeping our audience informed about what's happening in culture. From breaking announcements and event coverage to creator features and platform updates, you'll help ensure WDO remains the go-to destination for discovering what's worth stepping outside for.

Responsibilities
• Attend events, experiences, launches, and community gatherings to capture and publish real-time content.
• Plan, create, and publish content across WDO's social media platforms.
• Develop weekly and monthly content calendars aligned with WDO's editorial direction.
• Discover trending stories, creators, events, and cultural conversations worth covering.
• Write engaging captions, headlines, and short-form copy that reflect the WDO brand.
• Work closely with photographers, videographers, and editors to produce high-quality content.
• Promote new platform features, campaigns, newsletters, and partnerships.
• Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and conversations where appropriate.
• Monitor platform performance and recommend new content ideas based on audience insights.
• Ensure content is timely, accurate, and aligned with WDO's editorial standards.
Requirements
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Excellent understanding of Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Ability to identify trends and create content around them quickly.
• Experience using content creation and scheduling tools.
• Comfortable attending events during evenings or weekends when required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for culture, entertainment, lifestyle, events, and storytelling.
Nice to have
• Experience creating short-form video content.
• Basic photography or videography skills.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
• Understanding of social media analytics and audience insights.
• Existing knowledge of Ghana's creative and entertainment ecosystem.
Success in this role
• Within your first 6–12 months, you'll aim to:
• Establish a consistent and recognizable WDO voice across all social platforms.
• Increase engagement, reach, and follower growth through original content.
• Deliver timely coverage of key events and cultural moments.
• Build repeatable content series that audiences look forward to.
• Grow traffic from social media to the wedeyoutside platform.
• Position WDO as a trusted source for discovering events, experiences, and culture.
